A World Turned Upside Down by Marian Myers

“I can’t see anything, Daddy, only dots in front of my eyes,” Daisy cried. “I’m scared.”

“There’s no need to panic,” Mr Plumpton replied casually. “It happens to some people.”

“Try to be more supportive,” Mrs Plumpton snapped. “The poor girl’s got to live with this condition for the rest of her life.”

Mr Plumpton could see his daughter out of the corner of his eye, struggling with the unfairness of her life. He’d always support her.

He watched the snowflakes settling in the snow globe. She just had to learn to live with a world that turned upside down.
