Don't Forget Your Manners! by Kai Double

Purple drapes flecked with crimson spots. A typically peaceful winter night taken to a whole new kind of silence. Muddy trails and splattered steps squish through the halls. Low muttering mixed with low moans. A hand here, a foot there, maybe a finger or two as well. It’s hard to tell where one person ends, and another begins. If there still is one whole person here at all! Skittish claws click, clack across once fresh, varnished pine. “The mistress will be pleased!” rings the squeaky, glowering grin. A flash of silver, a dash of polish too. Everything spic and span.
