Let's Face It by Raymond Brown

Wilma was excited about the appointment. Her surgery would take place in a few days time. Jane, her daughter, was nervous and apprehensive. And she had many questions. What if the procedure goes wrong? Will there be scars? Will there be aftercare?

The healing process took three weeks. Jane was pleased. Wilma was relieved. To celebrate they went shopping. They bumped into one of Jane’s classmates; Helen was a nosey type. “You going shopping with your gran”, she asked. Jane cringed with embarrassment and looked to her mother for a reaction. Wilma’s face didn’t smile or grimace. It simply couldn’t.
